The management team and corporate background of Westco Remote Systems, Inc. (Eyesitter™) is from the traditional security industry. We operated under the ADT Security Dealer program for several years and were one ADT’s top dealerships in the country adding more than 1000 new customers to ADT per month.
In February 2003 the management decided to get out of the traditional security business because:
- The effectiveness of a tip and ring system was becoming more and more obsolete. Response times to non-confirmed alarms by police departments are too lengthy to be considered effective. Intruders can be sure of at least 20 minutes before concerning themselves with a police response.
- Municipalities’ were/are issuing tougher and tougher regulations to curb the growing problem of false alarm issues, and a growing number have policies of no response to an unverified alarm.
- Customers no longer were seeing the value proposition in paying for an analog tip and ring system.
Eyesitter™ President was a permanent member of the ADT Advisory Council and proponent for fundamental change to the security industry. With our vision falling on deaf ears we decided to charge forward independently and Eyesitter™ was born. |

OBJECTIVES
Westco’s objectives are:
- To establish EyesitterÔ as the leader in cost effective remote solutions systems in the United States.
- To take advantage of its’ unique market position in the transition of the residential and small-medium commercial security market from tip and ring analog solutions (Signals via telephone) to a CCTV solution via Internet Protocols.
